A Snapshot of Your Day

As part of an international team responsible for the product development of the turbine module of the SGT-9000HL gas turbine, you will tackle the technical project management of individual or multiple development programs. These vary in scope, complexity, and project duration, depending on whether they entail component-specific product improvements, turbine upgrades, or fundamental new developments. Your task involves - besides coordinating project landmarks, budgets, and resources - understanding sophisticated technical relationships, abstracting them, and deriving the vital actions and next steps, as well as to initiate and ensure execution of these. Your role requires close collaboration with international design, manufacturing, and service teams and their respective departmental heads, as well as the Project Management Office, to ensure detailed project execution.

  • Leading and coordinating development projects from the concept phase through manufacturing to testing / up to the validation of the final solution – you actively drive innovation and continuous improvement
  • Solving sophisticated technical challenges through close teamwork between different fields, organizational units, and individuals – you bring the right people together and form successful teams
  • Clearly defined and well-structured work packages create a productive work environment for the development teams

What You Bring

  • Degree (Masters or PhD preferred) in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or comparable
  • 5+ years of professional experience in product design and development, as well as project management, ideally in the field of turbomachinery and hot gas path components
  • Experience with project management methods (e.g., Agile, KANBAN)
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office applications and experience with SAP; basic knowledge of CAD systems (Siemens NX) and PLM tools (TeamCenter) is desirable
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills combined with independent, solution-oriented thinking.
  • Business fluent English language, German good to have

About the Team

Our Gas Services team offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
