Hours & Schedule

Qualifications
  • Associate’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or a related field (Bachelor’s in Communication Sciences and Disorders preferred)

  • Successful completion of national certification for SLPAs or state licensure/certification (per state regulations for school-based practice)

  • Experience working with children in educational settings preferred

  • Knowledge of speech and language development

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to support students, teachers, and supervising SLPs

Responsibilities
  • Assist Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) in implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) and therapy interventions for students with speech and language disorders

  • Provide direct therapy services under SLP supervision, reinforcing strategies to improve communication skills in individual and group settings

  • Monitor and document student progress, reporting changes or concerns to the supervising SLP

  • Support teachers and staff in integrating speech and language goals into classroom activities

  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical and professional guidelines

  • Participate in ongoing professional development to stay updated on best practices in speech-language pathology
