About the Role:

The Speech and Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) at ABA Enhancement LLC, CA01, plays a vital role in supporting licensed speech-language pathologists in delivering high-quality therapeutic services to clients with communication disorders. This position focuses on implementing individualized treatment plans designed to improve speech, language, and communication skills under the supervision of a certified speech-language pathologist. The SLPA will work closely with clients of varying ages and abilities, assisting in therapy sessions, collecting data on client progress, and adapting activities to meet client needs. The role requires a compassionate and patient approach to foster a positive and encouraging environment that promotes client engagement and success. Minimum Qualifications:

  • Completion of an accredited Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant program or equivalent coursework.
  • Valid certification or licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant in the state of California.
  • Basic knowledge of speech, language, and communication disorders and therapeutic techniques.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members.
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and work under the supervision of a licensed speech-language pathologist.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with children or adults with autism spectrum disorder or other developmental disabilities.
  • Familiarity with Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles and techniques.
  • Proficiency in using data collection software and electronic health records.
  • Additional certifications related to speech therapy or special education.
  • Bilingual abilities to support diverse client populations.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist speech-language pathologists in implementing individualized treatment plans during therapy sessions.
  • Conduct therapy activities and exercises as directed, ensuring client safety and engagement.
  • Collect and document accurate data on client performance and progress to inform ongoing treatment.
  • Prepare therapy materials and maintain a clean, organized therapy environment.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, families, and team members to support client goals and address concerns.

  • Adhere to all ethical, legal, and professional standards related to speech-language pathology services.
