As a Security Officer - Unarmed Retail Site Patrol in Brandon, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls and more .

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents and promoting a welcoming environment in a busy retail location. Your primary responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols throughout the premises, remaining highly visible to customers and staff, and providing outstanding customer service. You will serve as a reassuring presence, responding promptly to situations and communicating clearly with all visitors. This role requires driving, as you will need to navigate various areas of the property as part of your patrol duties. What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and promote a secure environment.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and key areas within the location to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious behavior.
• Document and report any security-related incidents, hazards, or unusual occurrences according to company and client guidelines.
• Support access control procedures and assist with crowd management as needed, especially during peak retail hours or special events.
• Maintain a visible presence throughout the location to provide reassurance to staff and visitors while promoting a welcoming atmosphere.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• A Guard Card or security-related license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
