As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal in a dynamic tech and media environment, you will play a crucial role in helping to deter security-related incidents by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas. Your presence will help maintain a secure atmosphere for all personnel and visitors. You will be responsible for verifying credentials, managing access points, and providing exceptional customer service while upholding our core values of agility, reliability, innovation, and integrity. This position requires driving as part of your duties, so a valid driver's license is necessary. Pay Rate: $14.50 / Hour

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor and control access to designated areas to help to deter unauthorized entry and/or activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activities and/or identify irregularities.
• Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and/or suspicious activity as required by site protocols.
• Communicate professionally with clients, visitors, and staff to address questions and/or concerns related to access control and security-related matters.
• Collaborate with Allied Universal team members and on-site personnel to support a secure environment in the tech, media, and telecom setting.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid TSA issued Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC).
• Possess a valid driver’s license and meet Allied Universal driver policy requirements for driving positions.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
