Purchasing Management

\n \n\n \n\n
    \n
  • Coordinates and supports the activities of NS Purchasing by managing system buyers.
  • \n \n
  • Provides training and support to interns.
  • \n \n
  • Manages product savings opportunities, recording savings appropriated or refused.
  • \n \n\n \n\n

Vendor Liaison

\n \n\n \n\n
    \n
  • Manages contracted vendors to ensure compliance with Nutritional Services practices.
  • \n \n
  • Monitors discontinued items; requests appropriate substitutions, requests appropriate CBORD database changes, communicates and maintains detailed documentation.
  • \n \n\n \n\n

  • Ensures purchasing compliance and process standardization through the development and implementation of guidelines and procedures.
  • \n \n
  • Identifies non-compliant purchasing system-wide and provides sites with corrective action plans.
  • \n \n\n \n\n
\n

Reporting

\n \n\n \n\n
    \n
  • Provides reports to the Business Resource and Purchasing Manager generated through both CBORD and other reporting tools, including specific compliance details for vendors, and providing financial data and analysis that assists in budget planning and meeting financial goals.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Food Service Management, Liberal Arts, or Communications OR Four (4) years of applicable experience OR Associate degree and 2 years of applicable experience
  • \n \n
  • Three (3) years of foodservice contracts experience
  • \n \n
  • One (1) year of leadership experience
  • \n \n
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • \n \n
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • \n \n\n \n\n

  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Food Service Management, Liberal Arts, or Communications
  • \n \n
  • Seven years of experience working with foodservice contracts, including process quality control
  • \n \n
  • CBORD MMS
  • \n \n
  • MM/MA Host System
  • \n \n
  • Bi-lingual (English required/Spanish preferred)
  • \n \n
  • ServSafe Certification
  • \n \n\n \n\n

Job Summary:

\n \n\n \n

The Foodservice Contracts Manager manages Nutritional Services System Purchasing function and acts as a Nutritional Services expert and resource for contract management. Serves as a liaison between purchasing, vendors, campuses and AHS Corporate. Ensures purchasing compliance through the effective implementation of parameters for standardization. Manages contracted vendors, advantages product and cost-saving opportunities, and ensures new product implementation meets purchasing and contractual requirements. Analyzes purchasing data for best practices and provides reports to the Business Resource Manager. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.
