Job Title: Furniture Assembler
Job Description

Join a dynamic team as a Furniture Assembler, where you will be responsible for installing office furniture and furniture for large construction projects. This role is part of a stable company, offering a permanent position with opportunities for growth.

Responsibilities

• Load, transport, and unload office furniture at job sites.
• Assemble and install desks, chairs, cubicles, shelving, and cabinets according to specifications.
• Ensure proper alignment, stability, and functionality of installed furniture.
• Follow blueprints, installation guides, and client instructions for accurate placement.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, disposing of packaging materials properly.
• Use hand and power tools safely for assembly and installation.
• Communicate with clients and team members to ensure satisfaction and resolve any issues.
• Adhere to safety protocols, including lifting techniques and workspace precautions.

Essential Skills

• At least 1 year of experience in construction labor, mechanical assembly, manufacturing assembly, roofing, landscaping or related construction fields.
• Experience operating box truck or a large delivery truck.
• Clean driving record.
• Willingness to work overtime and travel regionally throughout NY.
• Reliable transportation.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in furniture installation, carpentry, or related fields preferred.
• Ability to lift and maneuver heavy furniture safely.
• Familiarity with basic hand tools and power tools.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Excellent problem-solving and teamwork skills.
• OSHA 10 certification preferred.

Work Environment

The work schedule is Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with overtime during the week and on Saturdays. Occasionally, there may be overnight travel, with the company covering hotel expenses or per diem. Candidates will have their own room. PPE will be provided by the company and must be worn at all times. Candidates must provide and wear steel toe/safety toe boots, work pants/jeans, and non-graphic t-shirts. The work environment is primarily indoors in office buildings, but may involve warehouse work or occasional outdoor loading/unloading. Some sites may be under construction or undergoing renovations.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of East Syracuse, New York.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
