Position: Fleet Manager ($65,000 + DOE)

Reports to: Director of Operations

Job Summary

As the Fleet Manager, you will be responsible for managing hourly drivers and independent owner/operators.

Responsibilities and Daily Duties

• Hire and manage all hourly and IC drivers
• Ability to handle multiple tasks
• Perform all personnel management functions for drivers, including training (or arranging training), scheduling, employee time management, performance management, staff development, approve time off & manage hours via app, and perform team member discipline.
• Schedule and maintain truck maintenance for all RCR leased trucks.
• With assistance of HR, analyze and resolve work related issues/problems
• Work with HR to investigate and report all on-the-job accidents & injuries in a timely & thorough manner (when accident/injuries are associated with hourly drivers)
• Prepare fuel reports
• Prepare monthly and quarterly reports for employees for expiration for Drivers Licenses and Medical Cards.
• Hold regular safety meetings with the drivers
• Maintain Monday – Friday office hours (6 – 7am start) and by phone off hours
• Be available to drive, or help with two-mans, when needed.
• Order parts and supplies for office, drivers and trucks
• Maintain accurate records
• Assist Drivers as needed
• Perform all other duties as directed

Qualifications and Skills

• At least 2 years Management experience.
• Excellent communication and team building skills
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Proficient in MS Suite (Word, EXCEL, Outlook, etc.)
• Ability to follow direction
• Quick learner with good retention
• Reliable, detail oriented, resourceful and a creative problem solver
• Follow all policies and procedures
• Must be punctual and have a good attendance record
• High school diploma or equivalent
• May require bending, lifting, and stretching.
• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment
