Our busy hotel is looking for an enthusiastic leader with great sales skills and a customer-focused approach to be our next event manager. This is a bonus-eligible position. The position is Monday-Friday, 8:30 am-5:00 pm, with limited after-hours needs. Responsibilities: This is a full-time, on-site role for an Event Manager located in Towson, MD. The EM will be responsible for managing all aspects of convention and conference services to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction. This includes: • Meeting with clients to plan and coordinate meetings and events • Creating BEOs • Leading BEO meetings • Room block management • Billing efforts for events • Creating detailed event orders • Managing budgets • Ensuring all events are compliant with company policies Qualifications: • Prior Hotel Detailing Experience Required • CI/TY (Marriott) Greatly preferred, but not required • Skills in Convention Services and Conference Services • Meeting Planning and Event Planning experience • Customer Satisfaction Skills • Strong organizational and time-management skills • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Previous experience in the hospitality industry is a plus Compensation: $60,000 - $70,000 yearly
