Job Description

Bistro Cacao has been serving modern French Cuisine in their Capitol Hill location since 2009. We are looking for a result oriented, customer driven Assistant General Manager to join our dynamic team. 

The Position: Restaurant Assistant General Manager

• Oversee all aspects of front-of-house service and maintain and improve on restaurant’s service standards in every way
• Hold team accountable for company food safety, food handling, and sanitation requirements to ensure the health and safety of our guests and staff
• Oversee and ensure that all company systems and policies are maintained 
• Be attentive to all guests and managers while on the floor creating a great guest experience for all.
• Make sure all new employees go through the proper training and have all the necessary tools to be successful in their position.
• Manage weekly schedule for front of the house personnel
• Assist the General Manager in all forecasting and budgeting.
• Provides consultation to the Executive Chef on adjustments needed on our seasonal menu
• Manages all third party systems including POS.
• Manage reservations book to ensure revenue is maximized and turn times are met
• Manage and improve guest notes in the reservations book to build customer database
• Support and build team culture through training sessions, service education, and performance reviews

What we are looking for:

• Hardworking, attentive, and hospitality-driven with a desire to excel and maintain the highest level of service
• At least 5 years of experience in restaurant business and 3 years in management position, preferably in a fine dining French Restaurant
• Great verbal and written communication skills
• Provides guests with exceptional service and value

Preferred Skills:

• ABRA Managers License 
• P&L management experience
• Staff management & Training of 20+ employees
• Understanding of HR compliance
• Payroll & Scheduling experience
